DJ Krkt was the brainchild of the artist's sister and her self during one of their hikes. They were chatting about the cicadas (of which they've seen none where they live in Michigan), which led to crickets, and how it sometimes seems like they're just performing for us...and they couldn't stop laughing at the idea of a little cricket spinning discs.
